About us
Wild Purpose is a community-rooted initiative led by three women — Karen Stenning, Kata Armitage, and Alice Banfield — who each bring the insight of their own small businesses in research, entrepreneurship, and coaching. Together, they create inclusive, welcoming spaces that foster connection, growth and belonging.
United by a shared commitment to community, intergenerational relationships and authentic collaboration, Wild Purpose works to strengthen the bonds that hold people together. Through group facilitation, nature based experiences, community events and co-mentoring programme Symbiosis, Karen, Kata, and Alice nurture environments where people of all ages feel valued.
Inspired by the outdoors, personal growth, storytelling and local connection, they bring together insight, empathy and structure to support meaningful conversations and stronger relationships across generations.
Alice partners with local businesses and charities to develop their communications, services, and offerings through community research and participatory insight work, helping organisations design with — not just for — the people they serve.
Karen’s career spans the charity sector and entrepreneurship, with a focus on social and environmental change. She now supports grassroots initiatives through grant giving and leads nature-based retreats as a Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner. A passionate advocate for diversity and social justice, Karen creates platforms to amplify underrepresented voices and foster intergenerational learning.
Kata coaches with the body in mind. She is a body-oriented coach and facilitator with a background in drama teaching and the arts. She is on a mission to bring more joy to communities with Forgotten Fun through holistic play, embodied dance experiences and coaching.
